Auction houses to liquidate Yellow\u2019s tractors and trailers<\/strong><\/p>\n

A Delaware bankruptcy court approved an order on Friday allowing Yellow Corp.\u2019s estate to sell its rolling stock through auction houses.<\/p>\n

The estate entered an agreement with Nations Capital, Ritchie Brothers and IronPlanet on Oct. 16 to facilitate the sale of Yellow\u2019s fleet. The court temporarily withheld approval to give the U.S. Trustee\u2019s office time to file objections.<\/p>\n

Senate sounds off on climate disrption to supply chains<\/strong><\/p>\n

Climate change is already disrupting supply chains and will only get worse, which will ultimately lead to higher costs to consumers, businesses and governments.<\/p>\n

The looming crisis was the subject of a U.S. Senate committee hearing on Wednesday titled \u201cBottlenecks and Backlogs<\/a>: How Climate Change Threatens Supply Chains\u201d held by the budget committee.<\/p>\n

Panel argues U.S. must improve monitoring of Chinese seafood supply chains<\/strong><\/p>\n

According to the South China Morning Post, the comments were made during a hearing hosted by the Congressional-Executive Commission on China (CECC) dubbed \u201cFrom Bait to Plate: How Forced Labour in China Taints America\u2019s Seafood Supply Chain.\u201d The CECC is a group of lawmakers and politicians that advises Congress and the executive branch of the U.S. on potential human rights violations and humanitarian laws in China.<\/p>\n

Following the hearing, the commission\u2019s chairs sent a letter to Alejandro Mayorkas, the U.S. Secretary of Homeland Security, urging his department to publish an order to detain all shipments from the Liaoning and Shandong provinces. The letter also requested the department put companies utilizing Uyghur labor on the UFLPA\u2019s \u201centity list.\u201d<\/p>\n
